A comprehensive Islamic approach to human and socio- economic development derives its model of socio-economic development from the precept of integrating the inner development of self with the outer manifestation of this inner development in the world of socio-economic development. Thus, the learning experience gained by self-actualization and knowledge formation on Islamic precepts, find their expressions in implementation of the ways and means of attaining human and socio-economic development. The inner development as a self-actualization process is referred to here as Hablum Minallah; the externalizing experience of this inner development is referred to as Hablum Minannas. The total developmental approach is the interaction and integration of these two simultaneous directions.
This relationship establishes is in turn established on The Malaysian Perspective of Growth and Development to Year 2000 Post-GATT Consequences of Malaysian Socio-Economic Revival Introduction A General Islamic Approach to the Integrated Issue of Trade and Development The Knowledge-Centered Model: A Non-Technical Introduction
